The BABY SWIM FOUNDATION PROGRAMME aims to give babies a foundation of skills to enable them to be able to surface swim when they are physically ready; this differs from child to child. The programme also covers many confidence and safety techniques giving the child a fighting chance in the event of an accident.
The BABY SWIM FOUNDATION PROGRAMME is set out over 4 awards, Bronze Fish, Silver Fish, Gold Fish and Star Fish. Each award is progressive and contains 10 elements. These elements adapt and progress with the level of the child allowing the programme to grow with them.
The Handbook is a comprehensive guide for any swimming teacher to enable them to teach baby swimming, it includes a scheme of work, songs to get you started, information about child development, reflexes, health & safety, child protection, etc.
Our teaching programme is presented in a frosted box, allowing you to keep everything together, along with lesson plans, posters, certificates, poolside laminates and tick sheets for assessing.
