Lisa Bousted is a swimming teacher and STA tutor from the South West of England with over 10 years experience. She is the owner of a swim school with many pools in the Devon area. Within the pools her teaching experience ranges from babies’ only weeks old to adults aged 70+.
Using her knowledge as a baby swimming teacher she presented at the World Aquatic Baby and Children Conference (WABC) in Florida in 2007 and in 2005 was a delegate at the same conference held in Sweden. In 2004 she sat on an ASA review board for their Adult & Child programme.
A mother of four children, she is passionate about little ones learning to be safe and being able to swim in water from a young age. She truly believes it is possible for a young child to be taught skills that will give them a fighting chance in the event of an accident as well as teaching them a foundation of skills towards early swimming.
Within her own swimschools she has witnessed many children as young as two years of age swim 25m comfortably and has many letters from parents stating that the skills taught to their children from the Baby Swim Foundation Programme did in fact save their lives.
Within the swimming world she is highly regarded as an expert in her field. Using this knowledge she has joined forces with Karen to create and develop the Baby Swim Foundation Programme.
