I am a young single mum and i have twins, i read your article on twins swimming and was very impressed and moved however she had the dad around to help. Is there any way that a single mum with twins can get moving in the water with their little ones. I have been really looking forward to having the chance to take mine into the water now for quite some time but it has always been logistically a nightmare.

I am a product designer and am currently working on a brief that could help people in your predicament. From my research so far you are not alone in wanting to take twins swimmimg by yourself. This is proving to be a logistic nightmare both in the changing rooms and at the poolside and thousands of twins are missing out on the opportunity to swim.

I wont be able to answer any of your questions directly but I am currently looking at solutions to common problems in this area. I would be greatful if you could give me any particular things that put you off going, what part of the swimming process most daunts you ie, changing, poolside etc.

I am hoping to help parents in your situation by creating a poolside product that could make your life a lot easier.

SOme sort of basic waterproof double sling that would keep babies in water, but one could easily be removed for activities at a time
